Peztime — full delivery for a startup, from idea to three platforms
Client delivery for BestPetBook Oy: from scoping and architecture to implementation, release and further development — project management and client communication included.
What Peztime is
A platform for pets and their owners: one app that brings a pet's information, memories and services into one place. The product's own promise: “Be worthy of your best friend.”
- Lost pets — a map-based notice for a missing pet and sightings, so runaways find their way home.
- My Pez Life — everyday moments and memories to share with the community.
- Calendar — name days, birthdays and vaccinations, with reminders.
- Offers — deals and benefits tailored to the owner and the pet.

The starting point
Peztime's founders are pet owners themselves. For years they looked for one platform that would bring a pet's information, memories and services together — there wasn't one, so they decided to build it. A small startup needed a team to take the whole product from idea to the stores: community, map, calendar and offers, on three platforms.
“The only platform bringing a pet owner's and a pet's services together has now seen the light of day.” — Peztime launch announcement, March 2025 (translated)
What we delivered
A greenfield build end to end: scoping, architecture, implementation, release and further development — from one place.
Kick-off
Scoping and architecture together with the founders.
Build
iOS, Android and web from one codebase; backend on Supabase.
Release
App Store, Google Play and the web.
Further development
New features and updates driven by user feedback.
Decisions that fit a startup
iOS, Android and the web from the same code is the most cost-effective way for a small company to be everywhere its users are: one feature set, one team, one release.
Database, authentication, files and backend logic without servers of your own: low fixed costs at the start, and capacity that grows with use.
Project management, a direct line to the founders, development, test and production environments, and the store releases — the founders could focus on the product and the community.
What users say
I recommend it to every pet owner. My cat went missing and I posted a notice in the app. The fear for Muru was awful. Another user found my cat under an abandoned barn while out on a run.
— Muru, cat, 9 yrs
I have used the Peztime app for a few months and I am glad I found it. It is great to have all my pet's information in one place. I never remember when the last grooming or vet visit was. Now I do.
— Havu, poodle, 6 yrs
For once every kind of pet has been thought of, not just cats and dogs!
— Max, guinea pig, 1 yr

What this means for you
- A new product or a startup: we can join at the idea stage and take the whole product to the stores.
- One codebase for three platforms keeps the budget and the team small.
- A serverless architecture keeps running costs low until usage grows.
Status
Released in March 2025 on the App Store, Google Play and the web. In active development.
